Home attendances

ALS provides home attendances on approved cases. Once you have discussed your matter with a solicitor from our network, some matters will be approved for home attendance. This means that either a solicitor or a private enquiry agent will attend your home to obtain detailed information from you regarding your legal matter.

Home attendance is not available for all cases, but for approved matters there are a number of advantages to having a home attendance. The advantages are as follows:

  • No requirement to travel to the solicitors office.
  • Persons who are disabled or suffering current disabilities due to injury can be seen at home or in hospital.
  • Reduced cost in some cases. Private enquiry agents charge at a much lower rate than a solicitor and as a result they are able to spend more time with a client obtaining details of the legal matter.
  • Obtain photographs and other documentary evidence at the home, or scene of incident.
  • Prepare detailed reports on behalf of the solicitor.
